It has gotten very cold in my house and I’m worried about the heater

|

During the winter, it gets very cold in my house.

I have poor circulation in my feet, so they are often cold even if my furnace is working properly and the rest of my house is warm.

If I had heated floors though, my feet would never be cold. Sometimes, even in the summer, my hardwood floors are cold. Occasionally that feels good, because it is hot outside. But in the early mornings, the cooling sensation on my feet is not a welcome feeling. It is said that if your feet are warm, the rest of your body will also feel warm. If that is the case, my furnace would not have to be on and heating up my house as often. That would save me money, and also insure my furnace lasts longer. The less my furnace is used, the less chance I have of it breaking. Because once it breaks, inevitably I have to call the HVAC provider and pay for a furnace repair. Heated floors seem like a good investment for all of those reasons. They would be used the majority of the time only in the winter. In the spring, I may leave them overnight, and in the early mornings, when it still gets cold at night. But during the day, and all summer, I would turn them off and allow my air conditioner to keep my house cool and comfortable. This would help the heated floors last for a long time. The heating and cooling of my home would definitely be easier and more cost effective with the use of heated floors.
