We have consistently wanted to live on the island.

My good friend and I swore we would visit every year but we never did. Now that we are of retirement age we started looking for homes to buy on the island. That is when we came across an old hotel for sale & we got the brilliant idea to open up our own little hotel on the island. This turned out to be a lot of work. The hotel was in bad shape. The roof leaked, the floors needed to be redone, & the Heating & A/C system was largely shot. This old hotel had a PTAC system. I am sure you have seen them. They are those window boilers & coolers that are built into the walls of many hotel rooms. They are consistently super noisy. This hotel was no exception; Also, most of the units didn’t work. My good friend and I thought of getting zone control Heating & A/C for the whole hotel. That way there, each room gets its own control unit. But, ultimately, we decided to get underfloor heating & cooling installed. That way, each room still gets its own control equipment but the heating & cooling systems are dead quiet.That turned out to be a good investment. The gusts cherish the heated & cooled floors & many have stated that they will consistently come back to our hotel because of them. It is difficult to keep up with all of the demand and, I have to say, I have never worked so difficult in my life.
