I didn’t tell anyone I needed a new air conditioning unit, but I told them we were ready for new air conditioning.
- Our air conditioning unit was still working, but there wasn’t nearly as much cool air as we wanted.
We had noticed the diminishing of cool air ever since we turned it on. There wasn’t the amount of airflow we once had and it was always humid in the house. We knew the HVAC could either tell us it was going to be expensive to fix, or that it wasn’t fixable, and we needed a new air conditioning. For three days, we fretted over what the HVAC technician was going to find. The air conditioning unit was outside the house when we bought it, and we didn’t know how old it was, but it was at least eight years old. The day before the HVAC technician was to arrive, I cleaned the house, and my husband mowed the lawn. We didn’t want him thinking we didn’t take care of our home. When he got to the house, my husband went out back with him, and stayed there. I didn’t want to intrude, but I was really curious about what was happening. An hour later, they came inside and we sat down at the kitchen table to discuss the air conditioning unit. When the HVAC technician told us we needed a new AC unit, I left out a squeal, but I couldn’t contain my excitement. He told us I was the first customer he had who was happy to get bad news.
