Ever since I was a kid I had this dream of opening up a motel, and only, instead of having a strip of motel room, there would be little chalets all spread out over the property, but each chalet would have its own fireplace & little a/c.
It would also have its own little kitchen & a BBQ! Last year, my dream of opening up such a motel finally came true.
I found a locale that already had a similar set up. It was all rundown though & the fireplaces needed a lot of work. I hired an Heating & A/C business to come out & get all of the fireplaces up to par. I want them to be safe & functional. Meanwhile, I started fixing up the kitchens. The Heating & A/C workers advocated that we convert the fireplaces to gas. That way, they burn cleaner & there is less of a opportunity that guests will hurt themselves. I don’t know why I didn’t know of that but that does make more sense. I don’t easily want to be having to show guests how to start fires or worry about them forgetting to close the grate. My good friend and I got all of the fireplaces converted to gas fireplaces. My good friend and I also got wall a/cs installed as well. After all, let’sface it, most people go on getaway in the summer time anyway. It took almost all year but I finally have my little chalet motel that I consistently wanted. Two months ago we started taking reservations. So far, it is going well. My good friend and I are starting to see a little bit of a profit.
