I guess that making mistakes helps point us in the right direction better than not making them. It’s almost like a slap on the wrist when you were a kid, which regularly seemed to put you back in line quicker than anything else. I’ve made several mistakes in life although I guess I have also learned a good deal from making those mistakes. I would one day like to write a book on all of the mistakes I’ve made plus what I’ve learned, it may be a very thick book. I once tried to tune up my Heating and A/C system on my own plus almost burned down the whole building in the process. I wired something backwards plus it caused a fire in my flat when I wasn’t home. I came home hours later to find the fire department outside of my building trying to douse a blazing fire coming from my flat. I’m amazed that the local dealer next door didn’t catch on fire, plus I’m even more amazed that the owner of my building didn’t kick me out. I learned from that lesson not to try plus do something yourself that you have no idea about, especially when several others are living in the same building as you. The local Heating and A/C dealer that could have done the tune up task for me is just down the street plus I should have called them first before trying to tackle the task myself. Well, now I have a five year service contract with them so that they can do the tune ups plus service from now on.
