AC maintenance is necessary

After buying a house, moving in & unpacking, it took me a while to schedule service for the air conditioning. There was cleaning & painting to do, repairs to make & lots of expenses. We needed a modern water heater, realized there was no insulation in the attic & found that multiple of the power outlets weren’t working. There were problems with clogged drains, leaky faucets & a smoking oven. I was very frustrated by a musty stink that I couldn’t get rid of. I devoted a wonderful deal of time to bleaching floors, countertops, sinks, toilets & tubs. I washed windows, laundered curtains & beddings & even scrubbed the walls. I couldn’t get rid of that smell. When I finally got around to setting up maintenance for the air conditioning, I learned the source of that stink. The inside of the cooling device was completely overrun with mold, mildew, algae, bacteria & dust, but every time the air conditioning started up, those contaminants were becoming airborne & getting circulated throughout the house, and my family was breathing them in. It’s no surprise that my teenagers were sneezing & complaining of headaches. My hubby was having difficulty sleeping & I was constantly jammed. Fortunately a thorough cleaning, adjustment & tuning performed by the Heating, Ventilation & A/C worker significantly improved the hygiene, stink & comfort of our modern home. I also invested into duct system cleaning & sealing. Because of these intensive services, the cooling system now puts out a lot more air, doesn’t need to run as often & uses less energy. My bi-weekly electric bills are significantly lower.
