I love to think back on my childhood and all of the dreams that I once had.
At one point I dreamed of growing up and becoming an actress, but that did not last very long.
For most of my childhood, I was certain that I wanted to be an HVAC technician just like my daddy. Looking back, I find myself chuckling at how much I admired my dad. He was one of the smartest and kindest people I have ever met, and he truly did work hard as an HVAC technician. I used to go on jobs with him whenever I could, and I loved it. It was mostly because I would get treats from his customers, but I also loved to watch him work. He taught me a lot of things about HVAC work, and I wish that I would have retained more, but I am glad for what I do remember. I started school to be an HVAC technician, but after just one semester, I really felt like I needed to switch my major. I talked to my dad about it, and he agreed. Even though being an HVAC technician was something that I dreamed about my entire childhood, I knew that it was not for me. I am now an elementary teacher, and even though I may not make as much money as I could have, I absolutely love my job. I love my students so much, and I would honestly teach them even if I did not get paid for it. To me, it is about loving my job more than about making lots of money. Even though I am not an HVAC technician, I still love to do HVAC work whenever I get a chance to.
