Yesterday, my partner and I arrived from our camping trip in the mountains, and since we’ve been residing rough for nearly a week, sleeping in a bed felt like heaven.
I slept like a baby, and this afternoon I had my cup of organic black coffee, which I’ve been looking forward to ever since I tried that awful instant Starbucks Latte Frankenstein substance.
I have a few more hours of labor to do online before I have to go to my favorite seaside town with my lady to have supper at the beach, and yesterday was the Summer solstice, meaning that it was the longest day and the shortest night of the year. With the arrival of Summer comes the use of cooling systems in homes and businesses. The concern is that people are insensitive to the fact that temperature change is a major concern for civilization and my fine friend and I need to use our Heating & A/C systems efficiently. But all the shops, cafes, and supermarkets are cranking up the air conditioner units like crazy. It’s not healthy either; excessive or prolonged use of air conditioner at high settings can cause dryness and irritation, respiratory problems, temperature extremes, and so on. I was having a Starbucks Latte in a cafe yeahterday, and the cooling system’s setting was so high that I had to leave after about 30 minutes because I was cold and didn’t have a jumper with me! Conversely, the same thing happens in winter time with Heating & A/C systems. In fact, when my partner and I go to the mountains, my fine friend and I prefer to eat at loft next to the fireplace because my fine friend and I know that the restaurants will have the central heating on full blast and my fine friend and I would not feel comfortable.
